Earning a currency called “kicks” (previously “karma”), visitors to stores can then donate to a variety of causes, or cash in themselves.  The service is historically noteworthy: the earlier version (CauseWorld) was the first location-based service for charity, and raised more than $1m in its first year.  Now charity has taken a back seat.
